Spare Parts
Fusing a mix of funk, rock, jazz, electronic, and the future, Spare Parts is a Chicago based group creating exciting new sounds never heard before. Influences ranging from Weather Report and Steely Dan, to Led Zeppelin and Primus, fuel the creative engines of Spare Parts, both live and in the studio. Spare Parts continues to perform their infectious music for their rapidly growing fan base at popular venues and festivals around Chicago and across the nation. Chicago venues include Metro, Martyrs', Abbey Pub, Double Door, as well as The Lions Den and Coda in NYC, The Aggie Theater in Fort Collins, CO and Birdy's in Indianapolis to name a few. Spare Parts is currently receiving airplay on national and college radio stations across the country and even internationally. Members of the group have shared the stage with The Jazz Mandolin Project, Liquid Soul, Particle, Stanton Moore, Pnuma Trio, Jeff Coffin, Fareed Haque, and Victor Wooten, as well as performed at international festivals such as the Montreux and Vienna Jazz Festivals. The band has also scored music for several independent films and commercials.
