Ozric Tentacles
The Ozric Tentacles, hailing from Somerset, England, are a band from another time. They serve as a bridge from '70s cosmic rock to the organic dance and festival culture popular today. The Ozrics formed in 1983 with a debt to jazz-fusion as well as space rock, and the band lineup has gone through many revisions before arriving at the current one that includes Ed Wynne (guitar/keyboards), Justin (bass), Brandi Wynne (keyboards) and Oliver Seagle (drums/percussion). They have released over 20 albums and are famous for their live performances that take an audio-visual approach to live performance. The music is a mixture of thumping bass lines, sound effects, and danceable keyboard and guitar work that is used along with a wide range of instruments. |
